Biñan Symphonic Rondalla

The youngest of the fast-growing family of performers under BCPA, this Hispanic string ensemble is composed of young aspiring, curious and eager musicians under the baton of Alfred. With their bandurias, octavinas, laud, and guitars, they play classical as well as neo-classical music before their beloved Biñanenses. Rondalla was not widely known in Biñan before, so BCPA decided to create the Biñan Symphonic Rondalla (BSR) that would introduce rondalla to the Biñanenses.

The young Biñaneses’ eagerness to learn the music of rondalla out of sheer love is quite evident in the BSR. Moreover, the establishment of BSR and its initiatives to propagate the playing of rondalla among the youth of Biñan support the Department of Education’s efforts to promote the teaching and learning of this music form among young Filipino musicians.
