Biñan Youth Performance Council, Inc.
The Biñan Youth Performance Council Inc. (YPC) stands as a living testament to the enduring passion of the Biñanense youth. Founded on August 7, 2005, by Bryan Jayson “BJ” Borja, the group evolved from being a local church group into the city’s official theater arm under the Biñan City Centre for Performing Arts (BCPA).
As the pioneer ensemble of the BCPA, the YPC continues to garner prestigious support and grants from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). These have funded notable plays such as Si Rizal at Ako (2011), Ang Kasaysayan ni Teodora: Isang Ina (2011), PAMANA: Philippine History in Movement/Binyang the Musical (2019), as well as various cultural exchange programs and trainings.

Since 2006, the “Mga Kwentong Buhay sa Harap ng Telon” Series has presented plays that serve as a living mirror of contemporary life. This platform also features YPC Originals, which are scripts written by the members themselves, helping the group grow and emerge as a strong creative voice.
The group has also produced Interactive Halloween Theater Productions that redefine the spectator experience. Departing from the traditional “haunted house” format, these immersive narratives require the audience to move, crawl, and participate actively, effectively integrating them into the unfolding story.
In celebration of National Arts Month every February, the group co-hosts Dulambayan (Dulaan ng Bayan), Biñan City’s premier theater festival. This event provides a professional platform for community and academic groups to showcase a diverse repertoire of world classics and original Filipino works. It was awarded Grand Champion for Best Institutionalized Culture and Arts Program at the 2025 ATOP National Tourism Pearl Awards.

Expanding its reach after its 20th anniversary, YPC established YPC Stage in 2026 as its professional performance and touring arm. This platform elevates community-rooted narratives to institutional stages across Metro Manila and beyond, demonstrating that regional talent and grassroots storytelling possess the caliber to excel within the professional theater industry.
The YPC serves as a powerful testament to the transformative impact of the arts. By providing a platform for expression, the group enables the youth to cultivate personal growth, historical appreciation, and a profound commitment to community service. In Biñan, the theater remains a vibrant and essential institution, led and defined by the next generation.
