Mayor
Angelo B. Alonte
Born on January 10, 1976, “Gel” is a proud son of Biñan, deeply rooted in a legacy of public service and civic leadership. He is the fourth child of former Biñan Mayor Bayani “Arthur” M. Alonte and Fe Erlinda B. Alonte, daughter of esteemed Biñan philanthropist, Dr. Ildefonso Belizario. Raised in a household where compassion, leadership, and service to others were not just values but lived principles, Gel was destined to make his own mark.
Gel is married to Jhozalyn Mañego Alonte, a dedicated professional serving as Operations Manager at Rain’s Place Corporation. Together, they are raising three children—Angela Marie Fe, Arthur Angelo, and Adilei Samara—grounded in the same values of faith, family, and service.
Gel’s early education began at St. Anthony School of Biñan, where he completed his elementary studies in 1988. He then attended Santa Catalina School for high school, graduating in 1992. Always curious and driven to help others, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy at the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna–Biñan campus, graduating in 1997.

With a firm belief in lifelong learning, Gel continued his academic journey and earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the Philippine Christian University. Seeking to further strengthen his leadership capabilities on a global stage, he also completed the Public Leadership Credential Program at Harvard Kennedy School (John F. Kennedy School of Government), equipping him with strategic tools in governance and public policy.
His professional career spans across both health and corporate sectors. He served as a Respiratory Therapist at the Philippine Heart Center (1997–1998), followed by a stint at La Croesus Pharma (1999–2001). From 2002 to 2008, he worked as a Ground Steward for Northwest Airlines, an experience that broadened his worldview and honed his skills in logistics, service, and human relations.
Even before entering the political arena, Gel had already demonstrated his capabilities in leadership and management as a successful entrepreneur in the construction industry, managing projects that contributed to local development and livelihood.
Guided by humility, vision, and a strong sense of responsibility, Mayor Gel Alonte represents the new generation of Biñan leadership—committed to progress that is inclusive, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the city’s aspirations. As mayor from 2025 to 2028, he brings with him not only a lineage of proven public service but also a fresh, well-rounded perspective shaped by real-world experience, global education, and a heart deeply anchored in his community.
